Summary

Who to refer: Patients who are experiencing any physical, mental, social/emotional, environmental or mobility limitations that prevent performance of daily activities (ex. dressing, eating, cooking, managing medications, housekeeping duties, etc.) and/or engagement in meaningful roles (ex. role as a caregiver, student, employee).

When: Thursdays 5-7pm

Appointments: Patients do not need a referral. Appointments are required by calling Internal Staff at (352) 273-6044 or emailing chfm-oteac-mb@ad.ufl.edu

Patient eligibility and referral

We treat on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please arrive before 6pm to ensure we have enough time to treat you properly.

Services offered

  • UF Occupational Therapy Equal Access Clinic offers free Occupational Therapy services to people unable to afford treatment elsewhere. We accept walk-in patients every Thursday from 5pm-7pm (excluding University holidays). No referral is needed.
  • We provide Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment, follow-up treatment visits, biomechanical and environmental modification strategies, assistive equipment recommendations, and education on community resources (ex. public transportation, support groups, etc.).
  • We treat everyone in need of therapy care including: recent injury, postsurgical, preventative care, physical disability, etc.
  • Unfortunately, due to special oversight requirements, we are not able to treat pediatric patients.

What if my patient needs something not offered above? 

Patients will be referred out to clinics which offer the service they require.
